ERW carbon steel tubing in any shape, any finish, any tolerance. Our in-house slitter and deep master-coil inventory mean we can turn your next order around fast — without compromising on quality.
Whatever your application calls for, we tool for it. Gage can be specified to any decimal range, and ID or OD can be held to your tolerance.
Mechanical and structural tubing to the four ASTM specifications most ordered by procurement engineers and structural designers. Each spec page below carries the full chemistry, mechanical properties, and dimensional tolerances pulled from the published standard.
The workhorse spec. Type 1 (A.W.H.R., hot-rolled) and Type 2 (A.W.C.R., cold-rolled). Carbon grades 1008 through 1020. Round, square, rectangular.
For: automotive, agricultural, OEM frames, conveyors, fitness equipment.
Cold-formed welded structural tubing. Grade B (Fy 46 KSI) and Grade C (Fy 50 KSI). The standard for hollow structural sections in welded, riveted, or bolted construction.
For: bridges, building frames, columns, beams, equipment supports.
Mechanical tubing with corrosion protection inside and out. Six Types covering galvanized, galvannealed, aluminized, 55% Al-Zn, and post-galvanized.
For: outdoor agricultural, fence/sign systems, conveyors in wet environments.
Cold-formed structural tubing made from precoated galvanized sheet. Round Grade 33/42/46 and Shape Grade 39/46/50. Structural strength + corrosion protection in one mill cert.
For: solar racking, ag framing, fence/sign posts, outdoor equipment frames.
The most common A513 question we get from buyers — which type to specify.
Formed from hot-rolled coil, then welded. Heavier wall capability, our broadest gage range, and lower cost. Specify Type 1 when the application doesn't require a polished finish or tighter ID/OD control.
Same ERW process, cold-rolled input strip. Smoother surface, tighter dimensional control, finer finish. Specify Type 2 when the tube will be machined, plated, painted, or visible.
