Garage door tube has to mate with hardware: a bearing slides over the shaft end, a cam rides the tube, rollers run the track. That makes it fit-up work, not commodity work — burr-free ends, gaged ID and OD on the same part, and straightness specs most tube never sees. It's the most precision-demanding segment we serve, and it runs on the same five mills as everything else.
